Celebrating 2013 in Japan!

2013 turned out to be  big year! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary and I (Jen) turned 30. :) We have never been big on gift giving to each other, so we decided to take a trip. Where better, than to Japan? Brandon Stowell and his awesome girlfriend Cliah live in Tokyo, so we thought it would be the perfect trip.

Here, you will see us being dorks while shopping in Tokyo.
We had so much fun with the Simpsons too!
Tokyo was a blast, and so was the rest of 2013. Lee and I enjoyed our first full year in Colorado. We had tons of visitors at the White Loft, and went on several adventures around the city of Denver. We can't wait for all of the new adventures in 2014!

Projects at Blake Street

Lee and I have been busy finishing various projects around our place. One of the latest ones is this old side table. In our last home, I hated this table. Therefore, it was quietly placed in our guest bedroom, where no one would notice it. When we moved, many things got pitched (sold or given to Goodwill). For some reason we kept this. It came in very handy when we realized we got rid of SO much. Within the first month, I spilled finger nail polish remover on it and ruined the top. I finally grew to like this table, but decided it needed some love. Hope you like it!
Here is another new project. It has taken awhile for this to evolve, but I think it is FINALLY complete! All in all, Lee and I have really enjoyed making our place more fun and US! I have included some more pics of projects we are proud of!

UPDATES as Promised!

Well, Lee and I just finished our first 5k. He might say it is our last, BUT I have a feeling I can talk him in to another. The run was called the Firefly 5k, and was a night run! Everyone was dressed in lights and items that glowed. It was such a pretty scene.
The run also consisted on a costume contest. Lee thought the guy in the toaster costume was the best, had to get a picture. :)
So, Lee and I just celebrated 4 years of marriage. We have never been big on gifts, so we thought it would be fun to spend one of the last weekends of summer in Fairplay, CO. Lee booked a horseback riding day. We had a lot of fun!
Here is Lee and his horse, Grandpa.
Here is a picture of me and my horse, Tonka. He was kind to me...most of the time. Well, those are just a couple of things we have done recently. Stay tuned!

UPDATES!!!

MMM...k. So, it has been a LONG while since I (Jen) have updated about ANYTHING!! Some major things that have happened since our last post are (not in any order): 1. We got a second dog named Lumen!! Love her! 2. My sister (Jen's) moved to South Africa...and had a baby! 3. My (Jen's) brother got married. 4. My mom and I went to visit my sister. 5. I traveled to Mexico to see my friend Lori get married! I also went to Boston and Nashville with some amazing friends! 6. Lee traveled with friends to New York (i think), Chicago, Vancouver, and Seattle. Some of those trips were to see Rammstein (sp?). 7. We bought a loft in Denver! 8. We sold our house and MOVED!! All in all, A LOT has happened, so I am going to TRY and add pics to keep our friends and family updated...even for some that don't have a facebook account.

New York, New York...

We had so much fun in New York City! The first night we got there it SNOWED! We had a great dinner and went to see and amazing show called Fuerza Bruta. We both definitely recommend this for all!! It's like nothing else.
Some other things that we enjoyed were a Pizza Tour, massages in Chinatown, dumplings at Broom and Eldridge, chicken tikka masala in Little India, Staten Island Ferry, Rock of Ages on Broadway, National Comedy Theater, Canal street, Souths in Tribeca, Little Italy, Avatar, World Trade Center site, Charmin bathrooms, Century 21, Central Park, Ghostbuster's building, Union Square Holiday Market, Bryant Park, Patsy's Pizzeria, Museum of Sex, Flat Iron building, Top of the Rock, Magnolia Bakery, and the Tic-Toc Diner (ok, so maybe we didn't like this last thing).
Well, all in all we had a great time and we know there is plenty to do the next time we visit. I (Jenni) would prefer that the next time be at a time when the temperatures are above 70. :)

Our 1st Anniversary in England

Lee and I thought it would be fun to visit our friend Ben in England. He is currently living there for at least a couple of years, so we thought it would be a great way to celebrate our 1st anniversary! We stayed with Ben in Windsor and visited London by day. We did spend one day traveling to Bodiam, Dover, and Canterbury. The Bodiam Castle and White Cliffs of Dover were my favorite! We had a great time and enjoyed all that London had to offer.

Colorful Colorado

Wow! We had a blast on our most recent trip! Lee and I invited a few friends to Colorado for a spectacular weekend! We started the weekend with some whitewater rafting! It was TONS of fun!

On Sunday, we got up super early to hike a 14,000 ft. mountain (Mt. Democrat). Yes, Penny went too! It was the HARDEST thing I have ever done, and I could not have done this without Lee's encouragement.
